Writing
This week, my main priority was to finish the script. It ended up being far longer than I initially intended, topping out at around 70 pages. The first part of the story offers some choices, but because it’s meant to be a standardized introduction to the game’s mechanics and lore, it’s fairly linear. In the second part of the story, I wanted to focus more on branching paths and impactful decisions that would actually affect the outcome of present and future encounters.
Character Sprites
I also had a moment to start sketching out some of Miren’s sprites. These sprites are incredibly rough, intended to help me test different poses, sizes, and resolutions before jumping into finished assets.
